Our Story

My husband and I were both working other jobs when we met. We started a construction company and spent several years building it up together while we juggled all the other responsibilities and joys that families bring. For the past few years, we’ve both been full-time with our pole barn business.

Our favorite part of selling buildings has always been meeting new people. So when Jimmy suggested putting in some RV sites at the top of our hill, I was 100% for it. The idea of people from all over stopping in to stay in our little corner of the world was a lovely thought, and in 2018, we got straight to work putting in our 4 Full Hookup sites! Jimmy and I met and married in Wilmot. This tiny town is near and dear to our hearts, and we love that Hysong Hideaway overlooks it in part of the far-reaching view. We are still dreaming big in hopes of adding a few cabins for families to make lifetime memories here at Hysong Hideaway. So come stay a week, a month, or more!
